We Are Team2Gether....
“Working together is success.” – Henry Ford
We were originally founded by the late Kenny Cantor in 2017, back then we were called CAPPA cic. We focused on supporting young people with additional needs with an extra focus on Performing Arts.
This project started with Kenny’s son. Tommy had Downs Syndrome, Ulcerative Colitis and Severe Autism. When Tommy left his school aged 18, Tommy’s needs couldn’t be met by current further education offerings within the area. Kenny was a problem solver, so as his ideas on how to give Tommy what he needed post school began to flow, CAPPA was born. Kenny sourced a rotation of carers and created Tommy a bespoke package catering to his very specific needs and wants. When others saw what Kenny was doing and how it was benefitting Tommy, Others asked for help, and that’s how our service evolved.
We lost Kenny and Tommy just as the Pandemic began, all the more reason to keep the legacy going and get to work.
During the pandemic, our team of 5 staff members were creating activity packs, running online workshops, devising online shows. Even delivering green screens, ring lights and equipment to young people struggling alone at home and teaching them all how to use them and create online performances, watched and loved by many.
As time went on, especially post pandemic, we realised that we were achieving so much more than just providing theatre training.
This is when we made the change to Team2Gether. this name encompasses the ‘Team Spirit’ that this wonderfully unique and vibrant environment we have created.
Now, Not only do we offer training of all levels in Performing Arts, but we are also providing …
